Free children's activities at Trinity Market

19/11/2019

Ho Ho Ho – This year, Trinity Market’s food hall will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with twinkling lights and a Christmas wishing tree. Come down and write your Christmas wish to hang on the tree.

The Market is hosting a variety of family activities over the festive season every weekend between 16 November and 21 December including chocolate making (sorry, strictly for the kids!), cupcake decorating and reindeer food.

Comedy duo Jed and Gary will be bringing their hilarious and mischievous comedy, Jeddy Bear’s Christmas Cracker, to the market on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December, with a special festive show which is sure to have the whole family in hysterics.

The fantastic Middle Child Theatre will be hosting a Family Christmas Quiz on Saturday 14 December; you may also stumble upon surprises including carol singers and panto favourites.

It’s difficult to resist the lure of a festive market and Trinity Market in Hull's Old Town is one not to be missed! Hull’s oldest, covered market is home to a range of local, independent traders where you can discover one-off gems that were made by hand just minutes from your home. Whether you’re searching for the perfect gift, jazzing up your living room or indulging in some baked goods, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

In addition to the fantastic shopping options, there are also around 20 different food stalls to choose from; it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone. British, American, Italian, East Asian, Indian, Greek and Mexican showcase the variety of cuisines available. There is also a great selection for vegetarians, vegans and those with a sweet tooth across the market too. As well as the great street food style offering, there is also a few delis, bakeries, a greengrocer and a butcher.

And the best part? With ample shared seating, everyone can go somewhere different and meet back up to enjoy their meal of choice.

In addition to their great daytime offering, Trinity Market also hosts events throughout the year including local, live music every Thursday up to 19 December. Trinity Market is also working in partnership with Hull Minster to host a Victorian Market on Saturday 7 December in Trinity Square.
